Crystal Cove Shake Shack launches OC Fair-inspired menu – Orange County Register

If the crowds of revelers preparing to descend on the OC Fair prove too much for the introverted walkers among us, Crystal Cove Shake Shack offers a less rowdy affair.

Inspired by the foods found at the OC Fair, the small burger and shake restaurant (not to be confused with the New York-based chain) perched above the beach in the Corona del Mar neighborhood has introduced a limited menu that takes cues from the annual bazaar, including using ingredients from the snack aisle like Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Pop-Tarts and more.

Menu highlights include the Hot Cheetos Burger, a hamburger topped with Hot Cheetos, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and special sauce; the Hot Cheeto Dog, a hot dog topped with Hot Cheetos; the Hot Cheetos Shake, a sweet and spicy vanilla milkshake crushed and topped with Hot Cheetos; the Strawberry Pop-Tart Shake, a strawberry milkshake topped with a strawberry Pop-Tart and rainbow sprinkles; and the Coffee Donut Shake, a coffee-flavored milkshake with an old-fashioned donut.
