Harrison twins ready to bring brother chemistry to La Familia

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A number of former Kentucky basketball legends will play in front of Big Blue Nation once again on Friday, as ‘La Familia’ takes the court in the TBT basketball tournament at Rupp Arena.

Aaron and Andrew Harrison were fantastic in their freshman year in 2013-14, with Aaron hitting three buzzer-beaters in the NCAA tournament that year. Their legend grew by both returning for a sophomore season and played on the 2014-15 team that went 38-1.

The twin brothers had chemistry with each other on and off the court but they have not played with each other on the same team since that heartbreaking Final Four loss to Wisconsin. They hope that this chemistry comes back in the TBT.

“Oh, it’s exciting to play with him again. That’s the main reason I came, is to get to be able to play with him again. And so I’m excited to be on the court with him. We just have to have fun and go out, play hard, see what happens and enjoy the rest of our summer,” Aaron Harrison said.

“I think we all have chemistry somewhere, especially if we played on the team together,
James Aaron I think we all have a little chemistry. I still kind of know what those guys like to do. I think all we have to do is just play unselfishly and we’ll be okay. Like I said before, no one ever got anything scoring 30 in the TBT, just go on, try to win the game, play defense, share the ball and just come together, do some special,” Andrew Harrison said.

La Familia faces the 305 Ballers on Friday night at 8 pm in the TBT Lexington Regional at Rupp Arena.
