Angel Reese Sends Remarkable Message to Caitlin Clark at WNBA All-Star Game

Angel Reese Speaks at WNBA All-Star Game

Angel Reese had nothing but love for Caitlin Clark at this year’s WNBA All-Star Game.

Chicago forward Sky Reese ended up teaming up with teammate Clark in Saturday’s All-Star Game. The two were both on Team WNBA when they faced Team World. While Clark started and Reese came on, the two shared the court for a few minutes together.

At one point during the first half, Reese was interviewed from the bench by the ESPN broadcast team. She was asked how she felt about being teammates with Clark and she responded with a classy message.

“It’s so cool,” Reese said of playing with Clark. “When she gets the ball, I run to get it because I know she’s going to throw it.”

“It’s great to play with her,” Reese added. “We’re going to play a lot together in the future. Hopefully in four years we can be Olympians together.”

Reese also had a notable moment during the game where she jumped off the bench, ready to cheer Clark on (in anticipation of a three-point shot that Clark ultimately failed to take).

Rookie duo Reese and Clark have had a fierce on-court rivalry dating back to their college days (at LSU and Iowa, respectively). The rivalry has continued in the WNBA as well, with Reese recently sparking a backlash by flagrantly fouling Clark during a game last month.

Reese seems to have a legitimate issue with how the media portrays Clark and her in the basketball scene. But when it comes to Clark herself, who Reese will likely be linked to forever, it seems like there are no real hard feelings.
