Kids can “meet the machines” at GR Downtown Market

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Kids of all ages — and adults, too — can get an up-close look at some incredible machines at the Grand Rapids Downtown Market on Tuesday.

The market hosts its annual Meet the Machines event, where trucks, specialty machinery, emergency vehicles, construction equipment and more gather in the parking lot for guests to check out.

Attractions include a stretch limousine, a Zamboni, a fire truck, a snowplow, a McDonald’s Mustang, a 115-ton mobile crane and a Green Ghost semi-truck. Oscar Mayer’s Wienermobile will also make a special appearance.

The idea behind the event is to give guests the opportunity to see the vehicles in person and check out how they work.
