U.S. Women’s Olympic Team Can’t Sell Tickets Without Caitlin Clark – Olympic Committee Announces Special Offer for Sunday’s Game, Including Front-Row Seats | The Gateway Pundit

Over 20,000 fans attended Caitlin Clark’s concert in Washington DC on Friday night! A 17-year record!

The U.S. women’s basketball selection committee released an official statement in June, days after media reports that they had excluded the world’s most dynamic and popular female athlete, Caitlin Clark, from their Olympic team.

The league announced the news after Caitlin Clark made seven three-pointers, scored 30 points, led the way in assists and sold out a 20,000-seat crowd in Washington, D.C., the night before the news broke. Clark taught a lesson.

But that wasn’t enough for these angry, bitter women to put Clark on the Olympic team she belonged on.

The world was waiting for Caitlin Clark to compete in the Paris Olympics, and WNBA executives gave the United States and the rest of the world the finger.

Caitlin Clark, who holds every major college scoring record in history and led the NCAA in assists this year, was not selected for the Olympic team.

The WNBA executives clearly hate their fans. They find Caitlin Clark’s fans vile and unacceptable. And they’ve decided to punish all of America for its love for Caitlin.

The WNBA has not commented on the decision. The league has done nothing to defend the most popular player in its history.

These women can’t publicly admit why they excluded Caitlin from the Olympics. At first, they insisted that Caitlin didn’t have the experience and talent that these other women had.

This lie was quickly exposed. By the time their decision was made:

  • Caitlin Clark led the league in 3-point shooting.
  • Caitlin Clark was among the league’s top 8 scorers.
  • Caitlin Clark was in the top three in the league in assists.

Caitlin Clark’s stats are better than most of the other women selected to the team.

Clark is one of only three WNBA players to rank in the top 20 in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks per game.

Catilin Clark’s current stats put her above all guards selected for the Olympic team.

And Caitlin Clark is now the fourth most popular athlete in the world, behind LeBron James, Tiger Woods and Steph Curry.

On the first day of women’s basketball at the Olympics, the U.S. women’s team drew by far the fewest spectators. The Americans, led by their Caitlin-hating coach Cheryl Reeve, could only count on 13,500 spectators for their game.

And now the team is struggling to sell tickets for Sunday’s game. Without Caitlin Clark, it’s not so easy to fill seats.

The Olympics are hoping to fill seats with a special offer.

The New York Post reported:

The United States women’s basketball team, without Caitlin Clark, is struggling to draw the crowds expected at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The New York Times reported Wednesday that tickets for the August 4 match between the United States and Germany are being sold as part of a “special offer” for just 24 euros per ticket, with no assigned seating.

This means everyone can get front row seats to the game starting at 11:15 a.m. ET.

“Paris 2024 is struggling to sell tickets for the women’s basketball game between the United States and Germany on August 4. ‘Special offer’ tickets are now available: just €24 each and seats can be anywhere in the venue. Maybe the front row! It would have been a sell-out with Caitlin Clark on the team,” wrote Times reporter Juliet Macur on X.

Fans were quick to point out in the comments of the post that the match was not taking place in Paris but just outside, near Lille, France, about a two-hour drive away, which may explain the lack of interest in purchasing tickets.

Still, it’s hard to imagine how this game would have struggled to draw crowds if Clark hadn’t been left out of the team.
