Beth, 33, revealed doctors discovered an abscess in her pelvis and were unsure how much damage it had caused.

She is now considered high risk and will not be allowed to leave the hospital or “go anywhere.”

Beth, who is expecting her baby with her Love Island star boyfriend Connagh Howard, said doctors had a few theories, adding: “Who wants to think about that postpartum thing?

“And it looks like it’s going to be a big operation, because they don’t know why the abscess is there. Did he perforate something?

“They don’t know if the abscess is a consequence of the pregnancy, of all the stretching or if it’s related to something else.”

She continued: “I mean I have to take intravenous antibiotics every day.

“The worst part is the uncertainty, there is no timetable, it is rare to treat someone with a pelvic abscess during pregnancy. How are you supposed to manage anything when there is so much uncertainty?”

“It’s so hard. And when you’re sitting here all day by yourself, bless Connagh, he’s gone out to get food, he’s sitting here all day, my whole family is on holiday. It’s like four walls closing in on me.

“All day, every day. And you think about everything, it’s so scary.”

Beth said she wanted to let her followers know because she’s been getting a lot of “help and support.”

She added in a post on her stories: “Someone messaged me yesterday and said ‘You’ve been through more than most people in their entire life; in this pregnancy you are so strong’ and it really made me stop and think…”

Beth is expecting a baby boy after going through a traumatic fertility period.

She had been trying to get pregnant since 2019 after a year of dating Connagh.

The reality TV star thought the endometriosis surgery she underwent last year would help her start a family, but she still hadn’t gotten pregnant.

She was then referred to a fertility clinic in September 2022, and in November Connagh, who was on Love Island in 2020, underwent her first sperm analysis – which came back borderline.

He retested in February 2023 and everything “improved” after removing the protein supplements.

Beth then had eight acupuncture sessions to try to get pregnant, but it didn’t work.

Last March, they were told it was “unexplained infertility” and were offered IVF.

Beth and Connagh started dating in early 2020, just before lockdown.

In 2021, they revealed that they had finally moved out of Beth’s family home after living with her parents for an entire year.

The lovebirds got together just before the UK went into lockdown due to coronavirus, so they had to move in together pretty quickly.

Beth began dating Jack Quirk after living together in The Circle, while Connagh was linked to Rebecca Gormley in the villa.

What is IVF?

The process involves removing an egg from a woman’s ovaries and fertilizing it with sperm in a laboratory.

The fertilized egg, also called an embryo, is placed back into a woman’s uterus to develop.

The process can use eggs and sperm from the couple themselves, or these can be obtained from a doctor.
