In the 83rd inning, Asitha Fernando threw a fastball to Mark Wood.

But the 34-year-old managed to hit a six as the ball went over the boundary and into the crowd.

The Sri Lankan outfielders never managed to get close – but a fan in the crowd managed to pull off the catch of the day.

He effortlessly raised his right arm and snatched the ball out of the sky to the enormous roars of those around him.

The fan did this by holding four pint glasses and spilling only a tiny bit of beer on his sweater.

England coach Paul Collingwood saw the catch and could be seen laughing, saying: “He’s got a pint.”

The Sky Sports commentator also gasped: “What a catch. He’s got four pints in his hand.”

The fan welcomed the celebrations calmly, waving to the crowd and giving everyone a thumbs up.
