Oasis are back!

On Tuesday, Aug. 27, the British rock group — fronted by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher — announced their long-anticipated Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour, confirming multiple stadium dates across the UK and Ireland next summer.

The big reveal, which marks the band’s first UK and Ireland shows in 16 years, comes almost 15 years after the Gallagher brothers famously broke up in 2009 after reportedly having an argument backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” Oasis said in a statement of the reunion tour per a release obtained by PEOPLE.

“This is it, this is happening,” the band added in an Instagram post teasing the return.

The band will kick their comeback tour off at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on July 4 and 5, before heading to the Gallagher’s Manchester hometown to perform at Heaton Park for four dates on July 11, 12, 19, and 20.

From there, the Brit rockers will head to London’s Wembley Stadium for a further four dates on July 25 and 26 and Aug. 2 and 3, before stopping at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on Aug. 8 and 9. They will end the run of shows at Dublin’s Croke Park on Aug. 16 and 17.

Along with the tour announcement, Oasis also confirmed the release of a Deluxe 30th Anniversary Edition of their classic album Definitely Maybe on Friday, Aug. 30 to celebrate three decades since the band’s debut studio release on Aug. 29, 1994.

Tuesday’s release also confirmed that the band intends to extend their tour to other countries. “Plans are underway for Oasis Live ’25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year,” the statement added.

After initially forming in Manchester in 1991, Oasis recorded multiple huge hits including “Wonderwall,” “Stop Crying Your Heart Out,” “Champagne Supernova” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger.”

They also played headline sets at the Glastonbury Festival in England in 1995 and 2004, and have racked up a total of 12 billion streams to date, the release added.

Oasis had been teasing their comeback for days. The group eventually confirmed something was on the way with a cryptic social media post shared earlier this week which had the date Aug. 27, 2024 and the time 8 am on it.

“I never did like that word FORMER,” Liam also posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Aug. 25, among other teasing social media messages.

A reunion tour has been rumored for years, with Liam telling MOJO in February that Noel had previously refused to take the stage to mark Definitely Maybe turning 30 amid the brothers’ many differences.

Tickets for Oasis Live ’25 will go on sale on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 9 am local time (4 am ET), and 8 am local time in Ireland.
