Authorities say two women have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in California over the weekend.

The Fresno Police Department said Aaliyah Bonman, 19, died after she was shot around 3 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of a Rite-Aid.

Police said responding officers found Bonman suffering from a single gunshot wound to her upper body. She was taken to Saint Agnes Medical Center, where she died several hours later, authorities said.

Homicide detectives took over the investigation and identified Penelope Mehr, 21, as the suspected shooter.

Police said they learned Bonman was in a physical dispute with Mehr when Mehr pulled out a gun and shot Bonman. Authorities also identified a second suspect, Neveah Solomon, 18, as an accomplice in the killing.
