MP’s angry outburst against RTO official caught on videotape

An audio recording in which Santosh Bangar, a Shiv Sena MLA from Maharashtra, allegedly verbally attacked a Regional Transport Office (RTO) official went viral on Friday. The incident allegedly involves Bangar reprimanding the official for stopping a farmer’s vehicle in Pusad.

Bangar, who represents Kalamnuri constituency in Hingoli district, was reportedly heard criticising the RTO official, accusing him of targeting vehicles belonging to poor people while ignoring more frequent rule violators. “Don’t stop poor people’s vehicles. You stop poor people’s vehicles but not those who regularly ply (in violation of rules). I don’t need to be taught the job of an RTO. The vehicle should be released. It won’t take me long to reach Pusad,” Bangar is quoted as saying in the clip.

Efforts to contact Bangar for comment on the matter were unsuccessful.
