200 supercars to tour Midlands for charity

Several cities in the area will get a preview of Cannonball this weekend.

200 supercars will be driving around Offaly today.

The charity event, Cannonball, will leave Johnstown Estate in Enfield this morning, before completing a tour in Edenderry at around 11am.

This kicks off a three-day cross-country trip, which will take them to Circle K on the M6 ​​Athlone on Sunday to refuel, before finishing the show at Trim in Meath that evening.

For the second year running, Cannonball is raising money for the Jack and Jill Foundation, having already raised over €1.6 million for various charities.

Heavy delays are expected in Edenderry with the event returning.

Gardaí are urging motorists to be aware of traffic diversions, with traffic coming from Tullamore Road being diverted towards Killane, where they can use the Link Road.
