Meet the Athlete: Jackson Drescher

Q: Who is your immediate family?

A: Mom and Dad (Brian and Kristin Drescher), Older Brother (Mason Drescher) and Little Sister (Karlie Drescher)

Q: What sports do you play?

A: Cross-country, athletics

Q: What is your favorite part of playing your sport?

A: Fight the pain and see improvement.

Q: What has playing this sport taught you?

A: Hard work and perseverance pay off.

Q: What is your favorite sports memory?

A: I was on the varsity cross country team last year.

Q: How did you get started in your sport?

A: It’s a long story, but I was actually running all the time in PE. My teacher saw my potential and asked me if I wanted to do track or cross country. I said no at the time because I was nervous, but I changed my mind and worked on my own over the summer to get ready to start cross country my sophomore year.

Q: What sports did your family members play?

A: Football, rugby and wrestling

Q: What are your achievements in the sporting field?

A: Running on the varsity team and winning the Workout Warrior award.

A: Scoring points for the team and running to my full potential.

A: Jakob Ingebrigtsen because his speed and perseverance are a real motivation.
