Man Allegedly Urinated on Plainview Home During Anti-Semitic, Racist Rant – NBC New York

Police are searching for a man responsible for a lewd and hateful “ring and run” at a Long Island home that was caught on video.

The incident happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday at a home on Grohmans Lane in Plainview, police said. A young man, approximately 18 to 20 years old, was seen on doorbell video urinating on the doorstep and then ringing the doorbell while making racist and anti-Semitic remarks.

The suspect looked directly at the doorbell camera and immediately started running, police said. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and baseball cap.

The owners of the home did not immediately respond to multiple requests for comment. It was unclear whether they were specifically targeted.

Neighbors were shocked and disgusted by the incident that occurred in their diverse community.

“They are so young, what hatred can you feel from a young person like them?” asks Ria Francescone, a neighbor. “And what causes this?”

“The people here are great. I’ve lived here for almost 30 years, so when you showed me that video, I thought it was terrible that this happened,” said Diane Nason, a Plainview resident.

The family living in the home did not respond to requests for comment. It is unclear whether this was a target or a random act of hate.

“It’s horrifying to me that there are still people out there who know about the rings and the videos. He must be someone who is very disturbed and I hope he gets help,” Francescone said.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspect is asked to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
