Ex-Miss Switzerland finalist’s husband watched YouTube videos as he chopped her up

The horrific murder of a former Miss Switzerland contestant by her husband continues to make headlines as new graphic details emerge. The remains of Kristina Joksimovic were discovered dead at her home in Binningen, Switzerland, in February this year. Her husband, identified as Thomas in local media, was arrested the next day in connection with the killing.

An autopsy was carried out which revealed that she was strangled to death and after that chopped into pieces using a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears. Her husband then reportedly put the body parts in a blender along with a mixed chemical solution, turning them into a ‘purée’ like substance.

New details into the killing reflect the extremely gory nature of the crime, with investigators saying the entire thing proves Thomas suffers from a mental disorder.

MailOnline cited new court documents to reveal what else went down on the fateful day. Thomas apparently “carefully” cut her womb out of her torso while dismembering her. This “deliberate mutilation or ritualized degradation of the body” shows that Thomas is mentally unwell, the court said.

He was also reportedly watching YouTube videos while cutting up Kristina’s body, phone data shows. Investigators say Thomas showed no signs of “empathy” after killing his wife. The defendant had “sadistic-sociopathic traits”, they said.

Autopsy of Kristina Joksimovic

The autopsy also found that Thomas snapped Kristina’s hip joints out of their sockets and her left upper arm, forearms and right lower leg were separated. Her upper spine was then severed, and her torso split in half above her pelvis.

Thomas had earlier said that he attacked her in an act of self-defense. But the court doubts the claim, saying that the “planned and systematic approach over several hours” and his use of “special tools and chemicals” to destroy evidence of the crime proves otherwise.

The 38-year-old won the title of Miss Northwest Switzerland in 2003 and was in the finals of the Miss Switzerland pageant in 2008. The couple got married in 2017 and lived an affluent life. However, some reports suggest that their relationship had been “in crisis for months”.
