CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns avoided a dreadful 0-2 start to the season Sunday by beating the Jaguars, 18-13, in Jacksonville to improve to 1-1.

The Browns got their offense off to a good start after Deshaun Watson’s one-yard touchdown run on their opening drive. The defense tackled Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence four times, including once for a safety.

Special teams played a big role, with Dustin Hopkins nailing three field goals and a perfect punt by Corey Bojorquez pinning Jacksonville at its 2-yard line, leading to a safety a play later.
