Meet the true loves of your favorite celebrity chefs

While many of these celebrity chefs have made a name for themselves cooking up delicious dishes on camera, at home they each have a special someone to share their love (and recipes!) with.

From Ina and Jeffrey Garten’s decades-long relationship—which she discusses in this week’s issue of PEOPLE—to Gordon and Tana Ramsey’s family of eight, find out more about these celebrity chefs’ loved ones.

Ina Garten’s relationship with her longtime husband Jeffrey dates back to the 1960s, when Barefoot Countess The chef was only 15. They dated for five years and married in 1968 in her parents’ garden.

In his upcoming memoir, Be ready when luck comes, Ina first opens up about a difficult time she and Jeffrey went through in their marriage in the 1970s when she was running her Barefoot Contessa store in the Hamptons, New York, and he was working in Washington DC.

“We played some parts that I found really annoying,” Ina told PEOPLE. “I felt like if I hit the pause button, I would get his attention.”

Ina asked Jeffrey to separate – a decision she calls “the hardest thing I’ve ever done” – although the two reconciled after he agreed to see a therapist.

“He was so determined to convince me that he really wanted our marriage to work,” she writes.

Rachael Ray married John Cusimano in 2005 in Tuscany.

“John and I didn’t meet until later in life and we didn’t get married until we were almost 40. We knew who we were. We’ve always been that way, for 20 years. We don’t take it personally when someone wants to vent or explode. We’re also very good at being quiet with each other,” Ray told PEOPLE in 2021. “We don’t look for constant chatter. And we’re very good at giving each other space to work on our passions.”

Although Gordon Ramsey is known for being a bit of a tough guy on TV, he is first and foremost a family man. He has six children with his wife Tana, whom he married in 1996.

“Date nights are crucial, whether it’s a movie or a car ride. We have limited time, but it’s quality, so it’s really important,” Gordon told PEOPLE earlier this year about how he and Tana keep the spark alive while raising children with a two-decade age difference.

The couple welcomed their first daughter, Megan, in 1998, then fraternal twins, daughter Holly and son Jack in 1999, Matilda in 2001, Oscar in 2019 and son Jesse James in 2023.
