Next chapter for Zara King as she announces new job

Zara King has had an eventful year. After walking down the aisle in the most mesmerizing ceremony in July, the TV host has even more good news to celebrate at this time in her career.

On Friday, she announced she had been promoted to Southern News correspondent for Virgin Media Television.

Her new role will take her back to her Munster roots, which she is delighted about.

Zara announced the news with a photo of herself all smiles in a chic black fringed skirt and matching jacket.

Her new role will see her based in Cork from October and for Zara who was born in the city, it’s something of a full circle moment.

She said of the promotion: “I am delighted to be returning to Munster, my home region, having been born in Cork and raised in Waterford. I will continue my work with Virgin Media News, focusing on stories that impact people’s lives.”

Zara will also continue to run her podcast The Group Chat, which she hosts with Richard Chambers and Gavin Reilly. When the news was announced, congratulations poured in from all sides.

“Congratulations Zara, can’t wait to see you on Leeside,” one person wrote, while comedian Aoife Dunne remarked: “Oh what amazing news.

“Congratulations Zara, I hope you have your passport ready to enter the rebel county,” someone else encouraged.

The happy news comes after Zara revealed she and her new husband have expanded their little family with the addition of an adorable puppy.
