Patrick Loudermilk arrested for attempted murder in Grant

GRANT, Ala. (WAFF) – A man was arrested for attempted murder in Grant Saturday morning.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, officers were dispatched to the scene of a stabbing on Columbus City Road around 6:48 a.m.

Once on scene, investigators located the victim at the Columbus City Road residence and were also dispatched to Swearengin Road, where authorities said the incident occurred.

Authorities said that after a preliminary investigation, Patrick O’Neal Loudermilk, 43, of Grant, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Loudermilk is being held in the Marshall County Jail without bail, awaiting an initial appearance before a judge.

Authorities said the victim is expected to recover after being transported to a local hospital.
