Authorities have finally captured the last of eight bulls that escaped from a rodeo in North Attleborough, the North Attleborough Fire Department said Monday.

Video from WBZ News shows several police cars following the bull as it slows down on the road.

Another video posted on the social network X (formerly Twitter) shows an unidentified man approaching the bull, apparently trying to calm it down. The video then shows the bull charging at the man and knocking him over.

The eight bulls ran away from the rodeo Sunday afternoon, jumping fences as they ran through a parking lot, the department said in a statement. In video taken at the rodeo, one person can be heard yelling, “Everybody to the gate, move,” as passersby quickly move away from the animals.

Authorities quickly arrested one bull, while rodeo employees and North Attleborough officials searched for the other seven, the statement said. Authorities then said they arrested six bulls around 4:30 p.m. at a home on Prescott Street Sunday.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) said rodeos like the one in North Attleborough “bring animal torture to the forefront.” There have been two other similar incidents involving bulls this year, one at a rodeo in Oregon and one at a county fair in Utah, according to a statement from the organization.
