Ayo Edebiri’s Quirky Hibiscus Dress Gives Major Holiday Energy

Ayo Edebiri quickly went from red carpet newbie to royalty.

In the past year alone, the actor has stood out in many structured looks from Bottega Venetaas well as various fanciful designs of Loeweand she turned to the latter Saturday night to truly solidify her sartorial status. For this year’s Business of Fashion 500 Gala, Edebiri donned a fresh floral dress. The Loewe spring 2025 fashion show which began only two days ago in Paris.

In keeping with the Spanish brand’s signature playful tone, the floaty black dress billowed and bounced with movement, thanks to the addition of a flared hoop skirt. A high neckline and loose, flowy fabric kept the look casual, however, an aesthetic only aided by a retro print.

The quirky silhouette was complemented by a white hibiscus pattern accented by green leaves, making it ideal for a tropical vacation or, in Edebiri’s case, a carefree evening with the likes Kylie Jenner, Nara Aziza Smithand my beloved Loewe compatriot Greta Lee.

THE Emmy winner star of The bear highlighted her casual look with a pair of black leather flip-flops, which featured straps similar to a jean’s belt (and finished off with a silver button). She showed off a matching black pedicure, although she kept her hands free of polish. Minimal makeup allowed her to complete her natural look, while her long black hair was worn in beachy waves. Overall, the actor looked ready to hit the beach, and frankly, so did we after seeing his resort-ready ensemble.
