Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy has shared updates on his highly anticipated sixth studio album.

The Afrodancehall and Afrobeats star hinted at the release of his new album months before winning Artiste of the Year at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

His strategy for rolling out the album, which will succeed the critically acclaimed 5th Dimension, has been in full swing for more than six months.

On October 1, Stonebwoy announced that he had chosen Up and Running as the title of his sixth album, which will be officially released on October 24.

The decision was expected, given his countless posts before the announcement using the album’s name as a hashtag.

He used a similar strategy for his album 5th Dimension, which many called Album 5, before its official outdoor release.

5th Dimension was accompanied by a sold-out European tour, a Grammy win and a sold-out concert at the 40,000 capacity Accra Sports Stadium.

Speaking to CNN Africa’s Larry Madowo, Stonebwoy established in his African Voices episode released in March that his album would build on 5th Dimension’s progress.

Stonebwoy speeds up work in its new studio

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that exclusive images of Stonebwoy’s new studio had surfaced on social media.

A source close to Stonebwoy confirmed that the studio, a much larger space that can accommodate more people and live music-making machines, would be inaugurated before the album.
