Garth Brooks accused of raping his hair and makeup artist in new trial, report says

(Gray News) – Country music star Garth Brooks has been charged with sexual assault and battery in a lawsuit filed Thursday in California, according to a CNN report.

The report states that the lawsuit accuses Brooks of raping a woman in 2019 who worked as a hair and makeup artist.

The woman was only identified as “Jane Roe.”

She alleges the rape took place during a work trip during which Brooks booked only one hotel room for the two of them, and the woman was “shocked” to discover she wasn’t didn’t have his own room.

In addition to the alleged sexual assault, the lawsuit “accuses Brooks of repeatedly exposing his genitals and buttocks; talking about sex and sharing sexual fantasies with Roe; changing clothes regularly in front of Roe; and sending sexually explicit text messages,” reports CNN.

Brooks has previously denied the allegations, but he has yet to make a statement in response to the new lawsuit as of Thursday afternoon.

According to CNN, the woman began doing hair and makeup services for Brooks in 2017. She says she was first hired to do hair and makeup for his wife, Trisha Yearwood, in 1999.
