‘Love Is Blind’ Hannah Says She ‘Didn’t Want’ to Leave Out Bulleted List, Meant to Add ‘Green Flags’ (Exclusive)

While in Mexico during Season 7 of “Love Is Blind,” Hannah Jiles accidentally forgot a list detailing red flags she potentially saw in her fiancé Nick Dorka.

Fans watched – and probably cringed – the first batch of episodes from the Netflix hit’s seventh season as Hannah, 27, accidentally forgot a bulleted list detailing the red flags she potentially seen at her fiancé Nick Dorka’s house.

This happened after the two collided heads during their getaway to Mexico after Nick playfully rode an inflatable duck alongside another female tourist, which Hannah perceived as disrespectful after he was a little too “touchy” with her and she started making fun of Hannah.

Although the couple talked about it on camera, Hannah is now setting the record straight, telling PEOPLE that leaving her list out was a complete mistake and that she never intended for Nick to see her .

“I didn’t intend to,” she said. “Look, this list was a rough draft. Okay? I’m the type of person who writes down all my emotions and Nick’s little incident with the lady and that (duck), it wasn’t a big deal but I see things that could potentially be a problem, so maybe those are the red flags or flaws that I’m seeing.”

In fact, Hannah intended to continue her list – with some positives regarding her fiancé.

“I haven’t reached the green flags yet and I had just written in my notebook, put it aside,” she says. “It was literally under the leaves, so you couldn’t see it. And I was going to come back to it, but I didn’t get a chance, but that’s okay. He found it and I said : ‘Okay, we’re doing this, let’s tackle it.'”

Nick, for his part, told PEOPLE that he found his list “confusing,” even though he knew that “people express themselves in different ways.”

“I was done with an interview. I went back to the room and Hannah went to her interview and the note was next to the bed. And so I saw her, and I was a little confused because we “We did a good job of talking face to face about all the problems we had,” he recalls.

“I understood where she was coming from and I tried to work on all these points,” he adds. “I didn’t think (the duck incident) was that big. But then I started seeing her do these things and stress these issues and I was trying to work on them for her.”

After a love triangle in the pods with Nick and Leo Braudy, Hannah ultimately chose Nick to continue her engagement. He proposed inside the pods before meeting face to face, in an initial revelation she found somewhat disappointing.

“In the vignettes he described himself as a football player, taller, medium build, 5’9″, and I don’t think what he said was really true,” Hannah told the cameras after the reveal.

Despite this, the two flew to Mexico to further their connection. Episode 6 ended with Hannah having a heart-to-heart with Nick after the duck incident, telling him that she had “concerns” about their relationship that she wanted to “address” before heading to the altar.

After Mexico, the two will return to Washington DC, where they will move in together and integrate their lives before deciding whether or not to say “yes” on their wedding day.

Episodes 1 to 6 of love is blind season 7 is now streaming on Netflix and episodes 7-9 will be released on Wednesday, October 9.
