A mother of three who killed her ex-husband by injecting him with poison has been arrested using dashcam footage.

Amanda Hovonec, 37, was recorded in her ex-wife’s car pushing him to the ground and then injecting M99 into his shoulder, according to investigators.

M99 is an anesthetic approximately 3,000 times more powerful than morphine and is used on rhinos and other zoo animals.

Timothy Hovanec, who divorced Amanda in 2020, returned their children to her on the evening of April 24, according to court documents. Amanda and her mother Anita Green were waiting outside her home in Wapakoneta, Ohio, and Green brought the children to tell them, “I have a surprise for you inside.” »

Meanwhile, Amanda jumped Timothy as he unloaded the children’s cars, according to a sentencing brief.

His dashcam recorded him saying, “What the hell are you doing? Did you just attack me? Get away from me… get away from me.

Amanda was recorded on video forcing Timothy to the ground and holding him by the neck until he went limp and lost consciousness, prosecutors said.

The mother turned off the car engine and stopped the dashboard camera recording, then put a plastic bag over Timothy’s head and body to prevent the “liquids from secreting” and spreading, according to court documents.

Amanda confessed to giving him the injection and knowing he would die in a few minutes.
