According to the latest rumor mill, Liverpool are being linked with a new centre-back and a new striker. The Reds will not be able to complete any new signings until the January transfer window officially opens in a few months.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck. According to Caught Offside, the Reds have identified the centre-back as a target ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window.

There were reports over the summer that Liverpool were being strongly linked with the signing of a new centre-back. However, the Reds decided not to strengthen the centre-back department, but that could change next year.

The report claims that Liverpool are ready to make an offer worth €50m (£41.7m) to sign Schlotterbeck. However, it has been suggested that the Reds will face competition from Newcastle to sign the Germany international.

Elsewhere, Liverpool could compete with the signing of Dortmund striker Karim Adeyemi. According to reports from Italy, Inter Milan have also joined the race to sign Adeyemi next year.

According to Inter Live, the Serie A club is ready to fight against Liverpool and Atlético Madrid for the signing of Adeyemi. It was reported that Dortmund would demand a fee of €50m (£41.7m) to allow the Germany international to leave Signal Iduna Park.
