‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ and ‘Caught in the Act: Unfaithful’ Score MTV’s Highest Tuesday Primetime Audience in 3 Years

This week, “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” and “Caught in the Act: Unfaithful” scored a ratings victory for MTV, TheWrap can exclusively reveal.

Back-to-back new episodes of the reality shows propelled the network to its highest Tuesday primetime audience in three years and its largest market share in 10 years, excluding the VMAs.

On Tuesday, January 9, MTV was the most-watched cable entertainment network of the evening among several key demos, including Women 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34.

“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” which airs new episodes on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET, saw an increase in ratings from the Season 11 premiere in June, with Tuesday’s episode earning a 0.38 rating. , an increase of 16% compared to the season premiere. 0.33. Broadcast television also saw a 4% increase in its share – or the percentage of adults aged 18 to 49 who tune into MTV in prime time compared to other cable channels – as it went from a share of 3.54 to a share of 3.67.

At 9 p.m. ET, Tuesday’s episode of “Caught in the Act: Unfaithful” recorded its highest-rated television broadcast and best share ever, and showed similar viewership growth.

The season 2 broadcast of the Tami Roman-hosted show earned a 0.33 rating, up 71% from the 0.19 rating received during the season 2 premiere in July. The episode also earned a 3.27 share, up 57% from its previous 2.08 share since the season premiere.

“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” welcomed Saucy Santana on Tuesday’s new episode, making his “Atlanta” debut alongside his partner and “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” alum, ZellSwag, who is currently embracing his sexuality with his new relationship.
