Bartlesville classes canceled Tuesday after storms cause power outages |  News

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — Bartlesville Public Schools (BPS) is closed and classes are canceled Tuesday after severe storms ravaged the city.

BPS officials say canceled classes will not be held virtually due to power outages in the city.

Recent storms swept across the central United States, hitting Kansas and Oklahoma heavily.

Bartlesville was hit hard: Washington County Emergency Management reported tornado damage to residential and commercial structures, including the Hampton Inn and Medical Park, as well as five injuries reported following Monday night’s severe weather .
