New Orleans traffic stop results in drugs, guns and 2 arrests

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department made a major drug bust that resulted in the arrest of two men.

The police department said NOPD officers conducted a traffic stop on I-10 and Crowder Boulevard in New Orleans East around 4:50 p.m. Tuesday.

They say officers noticed suspicious material inside the vehicle and obtained a search warrant. Police found firearms, narcotics, scales and other drug paraphernalia following the traffic stop.

Lawrence Cuiellett, 29, and Justin Bocage, 30, were arrested following a drug seizure. In addition to the drug charges, Cuiellett was arrested for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
