Meet Becca and Morris! : The adorable pets of the week – WHIZ

Pet of the Week Becca and Morris

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week, the Animal Shelter Society is spotlighting a cuddly brother and sister duo.

Meet Becca and Morris! They are 10 month old domestic short haired cats, up to date on their vaccinations, spayed and neutered, and get along well with other animals.

Rebecca Hunt, animal care manager at the animal shelter, says these two arrived as a stray with their two other sisters and brother.

She said that because they arrived as strays, it might take a little longer for them to return.

“They’re very nice, they’re just a little nervous.” Hunt said. “So I think someone who is going to take their time and understand that they might be a little nervous at first.”

Hunt also wanted to remind all pet owners that with flea and tick season starting here, it’s a good time to consult your veterinarian to make sure your four-legged friends are protected.

“We’ve seen fleas all winter, they haven’t gone away.” Hunt said. “We have a wellness clinic here once a month for flea, tick and heartworm prevention. So I think it’s important, if not through us, through our wellness clinic, to consult with your veterinarian to get good flea and tick prevention to protect your pets.
