EnviroSpark just received million and is ready to hire the talents of the Tesla Supercharger team

With a new $50 million investment, Atlanta-based electric vehicle charging company EnviroSpark wants to hire as many Tesla Supercharger team members as possible.

Mid-market infrastructure equity firm Basalt Infrastructure Partners’ $50 million investment will enable EnviroSpark to rapidly expand its owned-and-operated network across the United States, innovate technologies and to make its electric vehicle infrastructure more accessible and sustainable.

EnviroSpark wants to achieve this with Tesla’s laid-off talent, particularly the Supercharger team, which was laid off just over a week ago. This pop-up is on the homepage of its website:

Aaron Luque, co-founder and CEO of EnviroSpark, said in an emailed statement:

This is the largest talent acquisition opportunity since I founded EnviroSpark. Tesla has been able to scale its charging infrastructure, in large part thanks to the talented employees on the Supercharger team.

With our recent investment in Basalt, we are looking to recruit as many highly skilled people as possible to achieve our ambitious growth goals.

Following a successful $15 million fundraising round led by Ultra Capital in 2022, EnviroSpark has made a name for itself in the electric vehicle charging market. With more than 8,200 charging outlets across North America, the company is in an excellent position to help accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles.

EnviroSpark recently formed strategic partnerships with RaceTrac, Waffle House, IHG Hotels & Resorts and Ford dealerships. These collaborations complement long-standing relationships with Tesla, Volkswagen, Volta and Starwood Capital Group.

The company also partnered with the U.S. federal government through the General Services Administration to advance commercial and government adoption of electric vehicles and secured National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) awards in Georgia and Tennessee.
