Taylor Swift Deletes Video Explaining How Relationship With Joe Alwyn Inspired Lavender Haze

Taylor Swift has apparently deleted a video about the inspiration behind the song “Lavender Haze” amid reports of her split from Joe Alwyn.

The “Anti-Hero” singer released her latest album, Midnights, in October. His first song, “Lavender Haze”, was quickly nicknamed in homage to the Conversations with friends actor, who Swift began dating in 2016.

To accompany the album’s release, Swift shared a clip on social media explaining the phrase and confirming its connection to her relationship.

“I came across the phrase ‘lavender mist’ while I was looking Mad Menshe said in the video titled “Midnights Mayhem with Me.”

“I looked it up because I thought it looked cool, and it turned out it was a common expression used in the 50s to describe being in love.”

She went on to note that while being in the “lavender haze” moment of a romance, those involved will do everything possible to stay there.

“If the world finds out you’re in love with someone, they’re going to step in,” Swift explained.

“Like my relationship for six years, we’ve had to avoid the weird rumors, the tabloid stuff – and we just ignore it. This song is kind of about ignoring those things to protect the real things.
