ASRock has just introduced 13 new Intel Z890 motherboards ready for Arrow Lake processors such as the Aqua, Taichi, OC Formula and CAMM2 models.

ASRock Introduces Massive Lineup of Intel Z890 and Arrow Lake Ready Motherboards: AQUA, Taichi and OC Formula Lead the Pack

ASRock has a very diverse portfolio of Intel Z890 motherboards that will cater to all market segments and support the upcoming Intel Arrow Lake desktop processors which will launch in Q4 2024 and first with unlocked SKUs.

Starting with the ASRock lineup, we first have the flagship Z890 Taichi Aqua, a liquid-cooled design that features a gorgeous white color scheme and looks fantastic all around. The card comes with a powerful 33-phase VRM (110A SPS), two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, four DDR5 DIMMs with support for select high-speed memory, 6 M.2 slots (2 Gen5, 4 Gen4), two Type ports -VS. , 10GbE+5GbE LAN, Killer WIFI7 and ALC 4082 CODEC. This motherboard comes with a heatsink module that has built-in liquid cooling and you can expect excellent overclocking on this board.

Next we have the ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF or OC Formula. As you can see, ASRock is moving all of its premium offerings under the Taichi brand. The Taichi Formula will feature an overclocking-specific design with its dual DDR5 DIMM slots, 27 power phases (110A), and a rock-solid yellow/black color scheme. You can find all the overclocking and tuning buttons on the motherboard. Additional features include two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, 6 M.2 slots (1 Gen5, 5 Gen4), two Type-C ports, 5GbE LAN, WIFI7, and ALC4082 codec.

In addition to the standard OCF, ASRock will also have a CAMM2 variant of the motherboard that will come with Kingston Fury Impact DDR5 CAMM2 memory with a capacity of 32 GB. CAMM2 will offer faster DRAM speeds than SODIMM modules and much tighter timings. The memory solution will be closer to the CPU and offer speeds that are very difficult to achieve on SODIMM designs.

Finally, there’s the ASRock Z890 Taichi LITE, the toned down, budget-friendly version of the original Z890 Taichi model. Both feature the same 25-phase power supply with 110A SPS, a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, 6 M.2 slots (1 Gen5, 5 Gen4), two USB Type-C ports, 5+2.5 GbE LAN and an ALC4082 audio codec. The standard Taichi has a futuristic design with its yellow and black color scheme and glossy RGB accent plates that will also be available on ASRock’s X870E/X870 board offerings. The Taichi LITE keeps the same heatsink design but scales down the RGB aesthetic while using a silver color theme.

ASRock will also ship its high-end motherboards with an M.2 expansion card with 4 M.2 slots and an active cooling solution.

Moving on to the Phantom Gaming family, first we have the NOVA WIFI which stays true to its gaming aesthetic and packs a 25-phase design with 110A SPS, a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, 4 DDR5 DIMM slots, 6 M slots .2 (1 Gen5, 5 Gen4), two Type-C ports, WIFI 7 and is powered by a dual 8-pin connector configuration. There is also the mATX Z890 RIPTIDE WIFI with a 20 power phase design and WIFI6E support.

The other two products in the Phantom Gaming line are the ASRock Z890 RIPTIDE WIFI and Z890 Lightning WIFI, which tone down the NOVA design for a more mainstream gaming audience. The Z890 RIPTIDE offers a 22 power phase solution with 80A SPS while the Lightning WIFI features the same design but reduces some heatsinks for M.2 slots and also reduces the number of M.2s.

ASRock also offers the Steel Legend WIFI in the white aesthetic and three PRO motherboards for the casual audience that still maintain a good feature set with 20 power phases, a Gen5 x16 slot, and WIFI6E support.

ASRock has not yet shared any information regarding pricing or memory support, but we expect it to be revealed closer to launch.
