Dixie Cafe announces introduction of drive-thru service

JACKSON, Tenn. — An official ribbon cutting ceremony was held today.

The event celebrated the introduction of a drive-thru at the Dixie Café next to the Old Country Store as well as its renovation.

Customers can now enjoy a full range of popular menu items as well as daily specials, either in the expanded dining space or via the new drive-thru.

Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store has been a multi-faceted destination since 1965.

It includes the restaurant, Miss Anne’s Ice Cream Shoppe, Miss Juanita’s Gift Shop and Dixie Café drive-thru or dine-in service.

“We still want people to come inside and enjoy the buffet, come in and enjoy the Dixie Café, but, if you have no other choice but it has to be convenient, we can now take care of that as well ” said Brooks Shaw, president of the Old Country store.

The new drive-thru will be open Monday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and there are plans to introduce breakfast options and expand evening service hours in the coming weeks.
