Newborn moose calves stop traffic in Canada

Moose crossing.

No one likes to be stuck in stationary traffic. A good day can quickly be ruined by a traffic jam that extends your travel time. However, if the delay is due to an adorable family of moose (I so want to say “meese”), it’s a little easier to deal with.

If you’ve never seen a baby moose before, get ready. They are some of the most disproportionately large creatures on the planet. Although they appear terribly wobbly, moose calves are capable of standing on their own. day that they were born. This, my friends, is incredibly crazy.

The growth process of young moose is rapid. Since they can stand right out of the womb, they are also usually quick to take up other moose-related activities. By the age of five days, most young moose are capable of running at speeds that would be faster than that of a human. And around the age of one or two, mothers send their offspring to face the real world alone.

In this video, these moose calves always follow their mother closely. It’s a good thing they were too, since this family of wild animals had to cross a busy road in Canada. Luckily for them, cars traveling on the highway braked and pulled over to allow the moose to cross safely.

One by one, the mother moose and her two cubs ran onto the asphalt. The kid in the back was letting out hilarious screams as he ran and tried to keep up with his mother and brother. This might be my favorite part of the entire video…besides the fact that I can’t get over the baby moose’s alien appearance.
