A Lexus ready to receive

You’ve headed out into the backcountry to explore the wilderness in your luxury SUV. For the sake of argument, this is the new 2024 Lexus GX. You’re ready for an evening under the stars, when suddenly disaster strikes, hunger pangs kick in and you’ll really need a glass, preferably a cocktail. Fortunately, all is not lost. The vehicle you are driving is not a regular Lexus GX, it is the Monogram GX.

To celebrate the launch of the new 2024 Lexus GX, the Japanese automaker collaborated with luxury appliance brand Monogram to design a completely bespoke concept vehicle. Named The Monogram GX, this luxury SUV comes loaded with all the features you’d expect from a modern SUV, with the addition of a few highlights for food and drink enthusiasts.

The highlight is, of course, the Monogram 30-inch Smart Hearth Oven. An electric deck oven specially designed to mimic the effect of a wood-fired brick oven, saving all the hassle of having to go out and source wood.

“Our all-new Lexus GX was designed to showcase the unique duality between luxury and off-road capability, allowing our guests to create incredible experiences on the road,” said Cynthia Tenhouse, vice president of marketing. from Lexus. “With Monogram, Lexus takes the GX experience to a new level, where road adventures meet culinary experiences. »

Taking inspiration from the Monogram Designer Collection, Lexus worked alongside the luxury appliance brand’s creative director, Richard T Anuszkiewicz. Focused on materiality and entertainment, the Monogram GX uses a custom patterned two-tone camel leather interior with brass and titanium detail additions. There’s also an added luxurious touch with Dekton slate stone accents, custom wheels and exterior details.

Although pizza may be the finest cuisine of all, it is far from the limit of the Smart Flush Hearth oven’s capabilities. This compact powerhouse is also well suited to baking soft artisan bread or perhaps a freshly caught roasted branzino.

You’ll need a drink to go with all that food, luckily the Lexus Monogram GX has you covered. The vehicle also includes a Monogram Forge heated ice press – the only heated ice press available in the United States – capable of producing perfect ice spheres, ideal for chilling a whiskey or cocktail.

There is also an impressive amount of wine and spirits storage, where favorite bottles, glasses and accessories can all be kept within easy reach. In addition to a rear cold draft and a cold console compartment on the rear seat, ensuring drinks and ingredients are always kept at the right temperature.
