Corper rebuilds abandoned five-room toilet for Anambra community

Charles Akhabua, a member of the National Youths Service Corps serving at Igbaku Community Secondary School, Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State, has reconstructed a five-room toilet as part of his project personal community development.

Akhabua said he was motivated to embark on the project because the existing one in the school was dilapidated and abandoned, leading students to use the open space as an alternative.

The Delta State-born corps member thanked the school principal, community leaders and other philanthropists for funding the project.

Inaugurating the project, the Anambra State NYSC Coordinator, Blessing Iruma, described the structure as a flagship project and enjoined the students to make good use of the facilities.

Iruma, who was represented by the Awka Zonal Inspector, Ferdinand Anya, called on other members of the corps to strive to leave a legacy at their places of primary mission by executing similar projects.

On his part, the President General of Igbaku Municipal Union, Chief Gilbert Dieli, prayed for the corps member and wished him well in his future endeavours.
