(SPOILER) left a video message in case things went wrong, and they certainly did in The Boys Season 4 Ep. 5: “Beware of the Jabberwock, my son. »

If you haven’t watched this week’s episode of Prime Video and Showrunner Eric KripkeIt is The boysWe advise you to turn around because we are launching our “MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!” sign before diving into a big story development this week. Still here? Ok, this is your last chance. In “Beware the Jabberwock, My Son” (directed by Shana Stein and written by Judalina Neira), Vought News (VNN) Anchor Cameron Coleman (Matthew Edison) has been reintroduced into our lives in a major way – but certainly not in the way he would have liked. Continuing his mission to shed his humanity, Homelander (Anthony Starr) charges The Seven, Robert Vernon/Tek Knight (Derek Wilson) and Generation VCate Dunlap of (Maddie Phillips) and Sam Riordan (Asa Germann) to go out and be “wrathful gods”.

To make his point, Homelander brings the person behind the leak inside Vought and removes his cowl — yes, it was Coleman, who is beaten to a bloody death for his actions. Of course, we know he wasn’t guilty — and we’re pretty sure Sage (Susan Heyward) has a line on the A-Train (Jessie T. Usher) being the mole. But with A-Train and Ashley (Colby Minifie) now on the same page, it seems Ashley has found a way to shift the blame onto him while also eliminating his issue with “Cameron Coleman.” But did Coleman get the last laugh? Earlier today, the show’s social media account shared a “hacked video” of VNN’s servers that included a message from Coleman — a message we weren’t supposed to see unless Coleman ended up six feet under:

The Boys Season 4: Eric Kripke Talks Sister Sage and Firecracker Insights

In an interview with WellKripke shared this Susan HeywardSage’s sister and Valerie CurryThe Firecrackers represent the show’s twisted take on two other superhero archetypes: “The Smartest Person Alive” and “All-American! USA!” As for Sage, Kripke notes that being “a tactical genius” will give him Homelander’s ear, making the Seven’s leader “much more dangerous.” As for Firecracker, Kripke notes that the gun-loving superhero falls somewhere to the far right of even VNN’s Cameron Coleman (Matthew Edison) – and that she definitely has very similar features to Donald Trumpthe potential choice of VP, Kristi Noem. Here’s a sneak peek of what Kripke had to share about Sister Sage and Firecracker:

Kripke on Sister Sage: “It’s such a funny power. A lot of superhero worlds have that character. While most of them are usually very reedy white dudes, we wanted a black woman who grew up in a low socioeconomic area, so no one fucking.” “She listens to him. It’s both commentary and satire to say that you literally have the smartest person in the world who could cure all of society’s ills, but she just can’t get anyone to listen to her.”

Kripke on the firecracker:“It turns out that there is always crazier. Firecracker represents both members of conspiracy movements and far-right media. This character has a surprising backstory that connects her to some of the characters in our world, so it was interesting to incorporate one of those “I shot my puppies” type characters with a gun. »
