Google is reportedly developing artificial intelligence-based chatbots that can interact and act like real people. Unlike current AI assistants that focus on answering your questions, these new chatbots are designed to have conversations. You could chat with your favorite actor, musician, or influencer—that’s the kind of experience Google is aiming for. According to a report from The Information via 9to5Google, Google will not limit the experience to pre-programmed celebrities. This project allows users to create chatbots, allowing them to design a personalized virtual companion.

These chatbots will be powered by Google’s extended language model (LLM), called Gemini. This technology allows chatbots to process information and respond in a way that simulates a human conversation.

Reports suggest that Google could collaborate with social media stars to develop chatbots based on their personalities. Although details are scarce, it appears that this project is separate from existing Google platforms. However, reports hint at future integration with Youtubeenabling more interactive experiences.
