Bidens and Democrats consider next steps

Prominent party members said Sunday that Democrats have no reason to worry if President Biden remains their nominee, although a few acknowledged their concern — which could be heightened by the devastating results of a new survey. Biden made no public appearances Sunday; he was spending the day at Camp David with his wife, children and grandchildren at a planned rally ahead of his shaky debate against Donald Trump on Thursday night. The day was partly dedicated to taking family photos that will be used at the Democratic National Convention in August, according to the AP.   • Democratic discussions“We’re having a serious discussion about what to do,” Rep. Jamie Raskin said in an interview with MSNBC on Sunday. He asserted that the party will be united whether or not Biden decides to stay on the ticket, NBC News reports. Raskin described the discussions as “very honest, serious and rigorous.”
