Prince William writes emotional message on IG

Being a huge football fan, Prince William, 42, quickly took to social media to share how he felt after the England men’s football team (or what the Brits call soccer) played Slovakia on Sunday night.

In a now-expired post shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram Story (which was originally posted on the official England football team page), a photo shows two players from the England team celebrating their victory. (FYI, the England men’s football team won 2-0 against Slovakia and are now heading to the quarter-finals of Euro 2024.)

Alongside the message, Prince William congratulated the team with a heartfelt message. He wrote: “Emotional rollercoaster! Let’s go England! Quarter finals here we come!” And to make sure everyone (especially royal-obsessed fans) knew the message was written by the future king himself, the Prince of Wales signed off with his initial: “W.”
