SPAC Announces New Saratoga Jazz Festival Sponsor

GE Vernova as New Presenting Sponsor of Saratoga Jazz Festival

Five-year partnership begins in 2025

“Saratoga Jazz Festival, presented by GE Vernova” scheduled for June 28-29, 2025

Saratoga Springs, New York (June 30, 2024) – Saratoga Performing Arts Center announces that GE Vernova will be the new presenting sponsor of the Saratoga Jazz Festival, beginning in 2025. The two organizations will embark on a five-year partnership, with $200,000 committed by GE Vernova for each year, ensuring the dynamism and longevity of the Saratoga Jazz Festival, one of the largest jazz events in North America. The sponsorship also signals the alignment of PSPC and GE Vernova’s shared values of tradition, innovation, community and sustainability.

“We are thrilled to welcome GE Vernova as a new sponsor of the Saratoga Jazz Festival. Our two organizations share deep roots in the Capital Region, and we are uniquely aligned in our commitment to tradition and innovation – much like Jazz itself – steeped in rich history, yet ever-dynamic and evolving,” said Elizabeth Sobol, president and CEO of the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. “At SPAC, we cherish our home in the park and see ourselves as stewards of this beautiful place in nature. In our mission to connect people to each other and people to our planet, we could not have a better partner than GE Vernova.”

“The Capital District of New York has long been our home and will continue to play a vital role for the GE Vernova family,” said Scott Strazik, CEO of GE Vernova. “This new partnership reinforces that, as we are committed to investing in the communities in which we work, live and lead. We are truly honored and excited to support this important cultural institution.

“The festival is one of the oldest jazz festivals in the world, but we are always looking to the future. This new relationship will be the foundation that will carry us through the next few years to the 50th festival in 2027 and beyond. It is a gift to us, the artists, the Saratoga Springs business community and to our audiences,” says Longtime festival producer Danny Melnick, President of Absolutely Live Entertainment.

Originally founded as the “Newport Jazz Festival at Saratoga,” the weekend event was renamed Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival from 1998 to 2024. In 2025, the festival will be titled Saratoga Jazz Festival, presented by GE Vernova and is scheduled for June 28 and 29.

With a capacity of 5,200 indoor seats and 20,000 lawn seats, this two-day, two-stage festival continues to be one of the largest jazz events in North America, beloved by audience both for its remarkable annual lineup of international jazz talent and for the spectacular setting of the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in idyllic Saratoga Spa State Park.
