King University to offer women’s football in fall | WJHL

BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — King University announced Tuesday that women’s flag football will be offered for the 2025-26 academic year.

King University will be the first NCAA university in Tennessee to sanction the sport at the varsity level, the university said in a social media post. The sport was recently sanctioned as a varsity sport by the TSSAA.

The Tornado’s first competitive season is scheduled for spring 2026.
