Why choose : Graham hit hard with a .692 batting average and 59 RBIs for the Tigers, who advanced to the Class 4A state tournament.

Emma Abrams

Lewisburg

Pitcher | Jr.

Why choose : Abrams had one of the best arms in DeSoto County, going 16-3 with a 1.38 ERA for the Patriots. She also struck out 168 batters in 121 innings pitched.

Pitcher | Jr.

Why choose : Johnson went 15-2 with a 2.18 ERA and 82 strikeouts in 99⅓ innings pitched for the Tigers, who finished second in the MHSAA Class 7A state championship.

Jorja Wheeler

Pitcher | Jr.

Why choose : Wheeler propelled the Eagles to the Division II-AA state tournament with an 18-6 record, 1.31 ERA and 277 strikeouts in 164⅔ innings pitched. At the plate, she hit .339 with 19 RBIs.

Why choose : Dever Boaz displayed both power and speed, batting .544, with 14 home runs and 37 RBIs. She also scored 51 runs and stole 36 bases.

Adin Shelton

Infielder | Sr.

Why choose : Shelton, a TSCA All-State selection, hit .346 with 13 homers and 35 RBIs for the 23-win Cardinals.

Why choose : Smith excelled for the Eagles, who reached the Division II-AA state tournament, hitting .487 with two home runs, 33 RBIs and 40 runs scored.

Kaitlyn Gentry

Vaulter | P.

Why choose : En route to the MHSAA Class 7A championship series, Gentry hit .442 from the leadoff position. She also scored 43 runs, had 23 RBIs and stole 12 bases.

Keagan Stepp

Brighton

Voltigeur | So.

Why choose : Stepp, the Cardinals’ leadoff hitter, finished the season with a .362 average, three home runs, 24 RBIs and 39 runs scored.

Lea Walker

Lewisburg

Voltigeur | Sr.

Why choose : The Patriots advanced to the second round of the MHSAA Class 7A playoffs on a strong performance from Walker, who hit .456 with 24 RBIs, 37 runs scored and 14 stolen bases. As a pitcher, she was 7-3 with a 2.71 ERA.
