A crowd of 40 people stands silently as police investigate a beating in Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A crowd of about 40 people at an apartment complex was reportedly quiet early Thursday morning as police investigated a beating.

Officers were called around 5:40 a.m. where they found a man badly beaten and unconscious in a parking lot in the 700 block of Kendis Circle.


The man’s face was badly swollen, he was bleeding from both ears and he had several large knots in his head, according to reports.

According to the information received, about forty people were present, but no one wanted to make a statement. Everyone claimed not to have seen or heard anything, according to the police report.

Officers also tried to call back the number of the person who called 911, but got no answer, according to reports.

The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center by ambulance.
