The Miami Dolphins took a big step forward in 2023 when they completed a trade with the Los Angeles Rams to acquire Jalen Ramsey. The deal brought together two of the best cornerbacks of the last decade, promising to make Miami’s defensive secondary a tough test for any opposing quarterback.

However, Ramsey missed nearly half the season with a torn meniscus and Dolphins stalwart Xavien Howard was sidelined by year’s end. Earlier in the offseason, Miami parted ways with Howard and filled the void by signing free agent Kendall Fuller to a two-year deal.
