Producer denies Govinda's claims that he was offered to shoot James Cameron's 'Avatar', says: 'A tragedy happened, this disc of his brain...'

Filmmaker and former CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani and Govinda have had quite a few hits together, except for their crap called Raja of Rangeela, the horrific affair that traumatized the actor’s fans in 2019. The star’s statements that he was offered the Hollywood juggernaut Avatar James Cameron’s have yet to be digested, but Nihalani has his thoughts on it.

In a recent interview with Friday Talkies, the producer said, “I had done a film called Avatar with him. I had shot 40 minutes of it, which I consider to be one of my best films, but it got cancelled. Because of the same title, I don’t know what happened in his mind and he kept claiming that he was doing Hollywood Avatar. His brain disc spun and he switched from Hindi to English.”

He added, “He (Govinda) said that he was offered this Avatar and he forgot that it was actually Pahlaj Nihalani’s Avatar. So that’s when the big tragedy happened. He said we should put it on hold and do something else. We tried to make the film in one schedule but at the last minute, I don’t know what almonds he ate with tea and he started fainting. we din ke baad se uska dimaag theek nahi rahaHe started talking nonsense and the schedule kept getting pushed back. There were a few songs left and some parts of the climax, but he didn’t shoot at all. The shoot was ready, he would wake up, but then he would pass out.

After the millennium, Govinda made countless comebacks, but without Bhagam Bhag And PartnerNone of his choices have worked out and the success he craves continues to elude him. Titles like Heroes of Aa Gaya, FridayAnd Raja of Rangeela have further dented his already declining influence. His statements rejecting hits like Gadar, language, And Devdas for various reasons are also known to all.
