Officers attended the scene and found the body of a 62-year-old man in a surfboard bag in the driveway of the property, police said.

A crime scene was established and local officers, with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, established the Nome Task Force to investigate the death.

Following extensive inquiries, police arrested a 35-year-old woman on Loftus Street, Nambucca Heads, about 2.10pm on Friday.

She was taken to Macksville Police Station where she was charged with murder (domestic violence). Police will tell the court that the woman and man knew each other.

She was refused bail to appear in Port Macquarie Local Court on Saturday.
