Frederick Police Arrest Man After Gun Incident on West Patrick Street

FREDERICK, Md. — Frederick police officers arrested a man on the evening of Sept. 1 after responding to a weapons complaint on West Patrick Street.

The suspect, identified as Joshua Wayne Rippeon, allegedly brandished an AR-15-style rifle during an altercation. Rippeon now faces several serious charges, according to the Frederick Police Department.

  • 18-year-old arrested for gun-related threats in downtown Pittsburgh

    PITTSBURGH — Officers with the Downtown Public Safety Center arrested an 18-year-old man on Sept. 3 after he allegedly threatened a man with a gun on Penn Avenue in the central business district.

    Police found two firearms in the suspect’s backpack, one of which had been reported stolen. The suspect, identified as Tymozh Toles, now faces multiple charges, including carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault.

    Toles was taken into custody and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
