WWE Superstar Lyra Valkyria Gets Engaged to Longtime Love

Many fans were surprised and delighted on Saturday when they learned that WWE’s Lyra Valkyria had gotten engaged to fellow Irishman LJ Cleary. Cleary shared the exciting news on her Instagram, posting a photo of the joyous couple along with a touching message:

10 years together celebrated by getting engaged to the person I will spend the rest of my life with, and she is my love

Cleary also posted a photo of Valkyria smiling next to a bed of roses that read, “Will you marry me?” In a photo with Cleary, Valkyria shows off her engagement ring.

Valkyria’s engagement comes during a banner year in her wrestling career. In April, the former NXT Women’s Champion was promoted to Raw at the 2024 WWE Draft. Shortly after, she made waves at the Queen of the Ring tournament, picking up victories over Dakota Kai, Zoey Stark, and Iyo Sky to reach the finals. Although she ultimately lost to Nia Jax, Valkyria put on a spirited performance that she believes proved she belongs on WWE’s big stage.

“I know now that I belong here,” Valkyria said after the match. “I know now that I can compete with the best. This is just the beginning of Lyra Valkyria’s journey. I will get back to where I was. And next time, the next time I get a chance, I will make sure I come out on top.”

Just last Monday on RawValkyria teamed up with Natalya and Zelina Vega to take down the Pure Fusion Collective, comprised of Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark. But her biggest victory may have come this weekend when she said yes to her longtime love.
