Lifetime kicks off its fall season with the premiere of “Nightmare in the Desert,” an original film inspired by true events.

The film, which premieres Sunday, September 15 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT, stars up-and-coming talent Gia De Sauvage in her first leading role, alongside Allen Williamson and Tristan J. Watson.

Here’s the scoop: After returning to her childhood home and hoping to move to a town outside Joshua Tree National Park, an outdoors enthusiast and her city-dwelling boyfriend are secretly stalked across the desert by a mysterious figure determined to stop the boyfriend’s surprise proposal — even if it means murder.
